Why Eventing

I fell in love with horses as a little girl. What I enjoy most about working with horses is the day to day training and building great partnerships with them. I love so many equestrian disciplines, but I find Three Day Eventing the most complete sport. To be the best in this sport you have to excel in all three phases.

Heroes and idols

I am always blown away by the strength and determination of Jan Byyny.

My "can't live without" Mountain Horse product

I honestly can't live without the entire Winter line of clothing! I love breathing in cooler air, but I hate being cold! But if I have to narrow it down, I'd find it really hard to live without my Marissa Fleece Jacket, and that's because it's the perfect weight and shape for so many different occasions. We love it so much we made it our Allison Springer Eventing Team logo jacket!

Something you might not know about Allison

I'm a terrible singer!

Non-Equestrian Accomplishments

Graduate of Bowdoin College '97; founding member of the Professional Riders Organization; managing partner of Platinum Pistol Couture

Memorable sporting achievement

The 2012 Rolex Kentucky CCI 4* was pretty amazing, but the first time I galloped through the XC finish flags (double clear) at Rolex in 2008 was a super feeling as well!

Whacky superstitions or traditions

A horse can never have 13 braids in their mane! Also, when toasting, if someone clinks their glass then everyone at the table must touch everyone else's glass.

Allison has been proudly sponsored by Mountain Horse since 2011.
